Terms of Service

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of FamilyVO.com (the “Website”) and the voiceover services provided by CrossTimber (“we,” “us,” or “our”). By accessing our Website or placing an order, you agree to these Terms.

1. Our Commitment to Quality

familyVO is a family of professional voice actors with over five decades of combined experience. Child voices are performed under the supervision of a coach who reads and understands your script before recording begins. Our WhisperRoom® studio is calibrated by an in-house sound technician, and every file is checked for specs, accuracy, and quality before delivery.

Real, genuine voices: We never use synthesized voices. Unless specifically directed by the client, we only use digital tools for mastering and cleanup — not manipulation or synthesis.

2. Family-Friendly Content Policy

We reserve the right to refuse any script that promotes vulgarity, immorality, violation of conscience, or rude clients. We will not record scripts containing profanity, obscenity, explicit sexual content, hate speech, discrimination, or content that promotes illegal activities.

3. Service Delivery & Revisions

Standard delivery: under 10,000 words 3–6 business days; 10,000–25,000 words 5–10 business days; over 25,000 words 10–15 business days. Rush (1 business day) is available for an additional fee, subject to actor availability.

If we make a mistake, we fix it ASAP — usually within 24 hours. Script revisions, redirected performance, or full re-records are offered at a discounted session fee based on the wordcount of the revision.

4. Licensing & Usage Rights

Commercial Rights are included with every order. Broadcast Rights for paid TV, radio, internet, and streaming venues are an additional license. Digital Alteration Licenses are required for any AI/synthetic use of our voices and must be signed in writing.

5. Pricing & Payment

Quotes are valid for 30 days. We accept payment through Stripe, or in some situations, check or cash.

6. Cancellations & Refunds

Full refund before recording begins; no refund for work already completed (partial refunds case-by-case). For rush orders, if we cannot complete within 1 business day (M–F), you may request a refund of the rush charge or cancel for a full refund.

7. Chargeback Protection

By placing an order, you agree to contact us directly to resolve disputes before initiating a chargeback. Chargebacks filed without first contacting us will be contested with full documentation.

8. Intellectual Property

Upon full payment, you own the final audio files for use according to your license. We retain ownership of our voices and performances; you are purchasing a license to use the recording, not the voice itself.

9. Portfolio & Demo Usage

Unless you opt out, we reserve the right to include clips of your project in our demos and portfolio. Opt out at checkout or notify us in writing.

10. Auditions

Free auditions up to 30 seconds, watermarked, usually delivered within 24–48 hours.

11. Privacy & Data Protection

We collect your name, email, and project information solely to provide our services. We do not share your information with third parties. Scripts are confidential. See our Privacy Policy for more.

12. Limitation of Liability

Our total liability for all claims under these Terms shall not exceed the amount you paid for the specific service giving rise to the claim.
